This addon is a plugin. You need to extract it to your
/plugins folder to install it.This is a modified version of the discontinued Wow ItemStats.
This version draws its information from Wowhead.
**WARNING: I have no experience in code of any form, this version has come about by me problem solving to get the add-on to work on my forums. As such, if this does not work on your forums I greatly appologise however I will not be able to offer much in the way of support.

EXTENSION INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

In order for Vanilla to recognize an extension, it must be contained within it\'s
own directory within the extensions directory. So, once you have downloaded and
unzipped the extension files, you can then place the folder containing the
default.php file into your installation of Vanilla. The path to your extension\'s
default.php file should look like this:
/path/to/vanilla/extensions/this_extension_name/default.php
Once this is complete, you can enable the extension through the \"Manage
Extensions\" form on the settings tab in Vanilla.
For WowItemStats to work properly you need to edit the config.php file so that it contains your MySQL database information.

Replace 'DATABASE_HOST' with your MySQL database address eg 'mysql.wowforums.com'
Replace 'DATABASE_NAME' with your MySQL database name eg 'wowforums'
Replace 'DATABASE_USER' with your MySQL database username eg 'admin'
Replace 'DATABASE_PASSWORD' with your MySQL database password eg 'pwningn00bs'
**You may need to check with your hosting provider to get this information

For example [item]Gloves of the Incarnate[/item] will link to the tier 4 shadow priest gloves (see screen shot).
