Google Analyitcs Add-on

I uploaded the default.php file with my Google Analytics ID inserted in the file. What am I supposed to do to activate the plugin? There wasn't a "read me" or anything with the Add-on download and I am lost as to what to do next. Thanks in advance.

The addon should create the directory for you, you just need to unzip it in the plugins directory.

Then you enable it via the dashboard.

I have uploaded the zipped package in the /extensions/ directory and edited the default.php file with my analytics account number. I do not see anything in the admin area "extensions" though? Not sure where I went wrong.

    OK, so that's a v1 install.

Which *exact* addon did you take? Because the newest for google anamytics, is for v2. Hence, it won't work on a v1 install.
