Email Verification for Vanilla2

Hi.

I want Vanilla2 to have Email Verification (add-on?) for its registration process in future releases.

    I'm surprised there isn't one already!
    Almost all other forum software have email verification, just send out an email with link to activate an account

    There is a role for it and in a translation I found some hints for that, too.
    So maybe it's currently under development and will be available soon? Or is it still there and I'm just blind?

    From recent comment I know that someone work on it.

    Only little thing must be done.
    First, default role for new users must be changed to Applicant.
    Second, special link must be aded to email Welcome email sent to user.
    And this code must be processed to move user to new group.

    Btw we also rises other problem that I have - links at all emails from Vanilla are just text, making them very unpractical.
