Vanilla CSS thing

Okay this is driving me crazy - can someone have a look and tell me why the light-tan-background doesn't extend to the bottom of the page in the categories listing when it does for all the other tab entries?

ah its caused an unusual effect... if there is only one message on the forum then we get the same effect. More than one message and everything is fine!

Hmm, no style showing at all right now - it's just plain old HTML with no CSS...

Its okay I got round it by starting off each forum with two messages ;-)
