Quoting just the selected text if there's text selected on the page.

This discussion is related to the Quotes addon.

I'm trying to modify the jQuery code to make it so that if there is text selected on the page, then only that text is quoted when the "Quote" button is clicked... otherwise it falls back to the default functionality of quoting the entire post.

Haven't been able to figure it out so far -- I'm trialing and erroring, I don't know jack about jQuery -- but if anyone knows how to modify this addon to do this the help would be appreciated.
