I've chased my tail for hours .. given up and asking a question :)
I want to display bookmarks in the sidebar.
I guess the designer/coder of the theme I am using (rounder) turned them off?
How do I enable them?
it is not plainly obvious ... the default theme displays bookmarks (but has no files to compare to)
