Fileupload: cannot upload two or more files?

Using vanillaforum 2.0.16, php 5.2.10

tested in chrome, firefox on linux,

after I upload a file, I cannot proceed to another one.

The only thing I can only see when I put my cursor on the 'attach a file' button is

javascript: void(0)

on the message bar at the bottom
