Importing wordpress comments into Vanilla

I'd like to consolidate the communication on the site into just vanilla, so I'd like to try to import comments into the forums and replace the comments with links to the forum.

I tried searches, but google bing! Were unfriendly. Any help would be appreciated.

You can import the comments into vanilla, but Every time a new comment gets made on a WordPress blog post, it will end up in the WordPress comments.
There must be other ways like ... plugins... I just don't know which plugin would be good here...
