Vanilla 2 treat old vanilla 1 comments and new vanilla 2 comments differently?

After I imported my old forum, I found old comments are not formatted well by plugins. Many words in them are lost when viewing them. But those words are not lost in the edit text area, After re-saving them by editing them, those word are still lost in view mode. But if I copy the old comments and paste them in a new comment, then those words will not lost in view mode.

So vanilla 2 treat old vanilla 1 comments and new vanilla 2 comments differently?

    Yes! I have been wondering this too. None of my Vanilla 1 images or urls display when imported into V2. I can edit the comment and seem them there. But they never display. @Lincoln Do you know anything about this problem?

    No, not familiar with it. If you can dig into it a little and file a bug it'd be much appreciated. Otherwise I'll bookmark this for when I have time to revisit the porter.
