Vanilla 2.0.17 dashboard: approve / decline applicants: checkbox + submit not working

I use Vanilla 2.0.17 with one of russian localizations. Approving / declining multiple applicants using checkboxes and submit button is not working. Sending the form gives no change to the applicants list. Come on guys: Vanilla2 is fully packed with MVC, ORM and other hi-tech stuff which theoretically guarantees the total separation of translation and logic. So what's going wrong? And how to fix the issue? Thanks in advance for any reply.
