Show views and comments on a discussion

This discussion is related to the Voting addon.

Can someone fork this plugin to show only the number of views and comments? I don't really need people to vote on posts, but being able to see views and comments is really important as an indicator of activity.. without the voting plugin enabled, you can't tell at a glance which discussions are popular and which aren't. WITH the voting plugin enabled, it adds a lot of unneeded weight to the discussions. As you guys already know, voting is not a very popular feature but the ability to see views and comments is an important, needed and simple feature. Hope someone can put something together!
