Questions
When a new comment is made in a discussion and I have that discussion open it flashes with a yellow glow that fades away quickly. I cant seem to find the CSS that defines that yellow glow and it flashes too quickly for me to inspect. any ideas?

I can be wrong, but I think it's done via js with the discussion.js and the 4 different lines similar to this:
.effect("highlight", {}, "slow");
http://docs.jquery.com/UI/Effects/effect#overview
http://docs.jquery.com/UI/Effects/Highlight#option-color
For instance .effect("highlight", {"color" : "#009900"}, "slow");
