localization screws up html layout

I am converting vanilla to latvian, thus I need to use utf-8 encoding.

When I save the language files in utf-8 the content from is placed inside body tags (at least that's how I see it in firebug - when I look at the source of the page everything looks normal - so maybe it has something to do with js?)

What could be the solution?

p.s. the same happens when I use russian locale already provided in addons

Maybe you should delete closing tag ?> from your language files.
