Vanilla on local MAMP: no images because Port 8888 gets removed

I can successfully run my Vanilla installation in my local MAMP environment. However, since 2.0.18rc2 no images are being displayed, because the image link does not contain the MAMP-Port (8888).

Any clues why they might get removed by Vanilla?
