Sup gangstas,

We whipped up a quick theme to go along with a new forum. Check it out and let me know what you think!

  • Man! that looks awesome as usual. Like the little white shadow around the texts or is that just me looking cross-eyed.
Man! we need more themes like this. Re-vamp all the old V1 themes into V2 themes, etc etc.
    Good work!

Well I just had a quick look at your account, and you don't seem to own any addons or themes, yet here you are telling me I can "do better". I actually take offense to that, and so I'll respond in kind.

There are maybe 4 people on this forum that are building themes, and though I may not like all of them, I admire the fact that they're working on new content. Until you can show that you're in their (our) league, keep your snarky "you can do better" comments to yourself :)

(ps. the smiley at the end makes it all ok, right?)

    I love Tim's smackdowns.

As for the site, I think it's a really clean and good looking reskin of the default theme, although the fuzzy buttons kind of bother me.

I know @Tim, and I'm more than grateful for everybody's work. We all are. Especially towards vanilla's devs

My reply was actually a compliment. Nothing hidden behind the smile.

Still shocked of your reaction. I'm guessing you had a bad day.

(ps. I will release a theme soon, so I will own the right to criticism//democracy) No smiles

  • I like the theme a lot, it is fair to say though that the vanilla team has a sort of love affair with hot pink, just when you think its gone, it rears it head (when you hover over the links for instance). I think this is some sort of in joke or conspiracy perhaps. I don't know if they were looking at some 1980s leg warmers for inspiration, or something. But anyway this harks back to the luminous cyan and hot pink days. That always confused me how it was related to the vanilla brand but whatevers.

    grep is your friend.

Well, @x00 I was just mentioning to @Tim yesterday that every time I go to come up with a different colour for a:hover it just never compares to the current hot pink. It is the ultimate a:hover colour and works in all situations. Period.

Unfortunately todd i own the trademark for pink.
    But ours is #ec008c

    Speaking of hot pink...
I have a theme for a site I've been working on in my spare time (haha, my spare time, as if). I think you'll see some familiar colors:
