[Solved] I have a question that has been asked but nobody seems to have an answer for. (host probs)*

So I ask it again and hope there is someone who can direct everyone else who will experience this.

When I open dashboard I get this error...

Vanilla Statistics has had an accident :( Permission denied - Token Verification is required, but failed.

Since I took the time and searched both docs and discussions I see many people have this issue.

Please post a suitable fix to this problem.

Thanks

    do you have curl?

    phpinfo(); to find out.

Basically it is saying it cannot connect to check verification.

    grep is your friend.

  • Thanks for the quick reply, I just sent a message to the customer support of the hosting doodad. I'll advise if this solves the problem.

Only wish I could suppress this accept or reject button message... I like to think on my own terms, Thanks

Bare in mind these are new features, the core is still developing. So it doesn't have all the catch all scenarios in the wild. It is merely meant to work with certain requirements, then complain otherwise.

It won't harm. Try Google Analytics.

    grep is your friend.

  • It seems that I do have curl installed, and the host re-enabled my system. I just got this message:

    Thank you for contacting us.

The CURL extension requires outgoing server connections.

    What are they looking for?

Can you offer me some help....

I am not sure what happened with my Support at my web host but problem solved.

Seems they like to assume all things are normal.

I just pestered them until they resolved my issues.

    thanks x00
