Proper way to post images and Youtube vides with bbcode / html / etc?

Hi there.

First of all I'm having problems posting images, it worked yesterday but now as you can see it doesn't work, only the image URL appears:

I'm using the current version of Vanilla and the EmbedFriendly theme.

Also, I'm wondering if there's documentation explaining the ideal way to post images and videos. I've searched for some but been unable to find any, however I find it inconceivable that such basic information would be unavailable.

Sorry I sounded a bit upset in my initial post, I've been dealing with many problems with Vanilla over the past few days, it's just frustrating. I still love Vanilla.

For images, I think you should be able to it with this, it showed the link on my test forum:

422, I chose the EmbedFriendly theme since it was one of the three themes that came installed by default on the Vanilla forum software so I can be confident when newer versions of Vanilla come out this theme will always be updated / supported (which is a concern I had), and because of course I embed my Vanilla forum in my website. Why do you ask?

Embedding causes so many issues, and severely restricts your customizations.

Plus you seem to be keen to get everything working just perfectly and i personally think with your attitude you have the ability to create your own theme and ditch embed.

Just my four penneth. To add, default theme is consistently supported on vanilla.

You can create a new theme folder in themes, call it bob whack in custom.css file about.php file and vanilla auto inherits your customisations. Css is only clientside, so any upgrades in future shoulnt adversely affect your new theme
