Tagging usernames in discussions?

Hey guys! I'm new here, but is there a way that you can tag usernames in forum discussions like in the way you can tag your friends on facebook by typing the @ symbol before typing their name?

LOL it wasnt working when i tried it before, then as soon as I posted this I went back and it worked fine :s
