Is Add-On Update Dashboard Message Broken?

Just noticed some add-ons I use are updated, but are not showing a message in my dashboard that they have? I think it once did. Am I imagining this?

    I think this is a wordpress add-on not a vanilla add-on.

    In other words wordpress notifies you of updates, vanilla doesn't.

    I may not provide the completed solution you might desire, but I do try to provide honest suggestions to help you solve your issue.

    @peregrine, I am familiar with WordPress, but I got a notice that Issue-tracker was updated in my Dashboard, but other add-ons have no such message. I started digging and think it's something specific to that fellows add-on. I guess I was mistaken, because I recalled Vanilla did the same....
