Chat system for vanilla forum

I think using Chat in a forum is a bad idea. Just a thought

Years ago on vb, evo was the top chat system...but fark it slowed the site down.

if you want a chat, you probably don't want to host it on your, site not without the right infrastructure to support the load, and knowing what you re doing.

Use chat facilities that have their own server, or are p2p, basically bypassing your server altogether.

You could use node.js but nightmare to set up

I think chat direct p2p in the forum is not good. It will distract the user.
