How do you transfer files to your server ?

I tried keeping the server inside the house for about 2 days.... impossible to sleep in the same room as a running dl380 g3.

It lives in a shed in my back yard now ;)

Plenty of throughput for the amount of traffic. My only problem is a lack of redundancy. I had the fiber network inteface device fail in a recent power outage, so the network was down for half a day.

your d380 g3 snores. I sent my server to a snoring clinic, things have been alot quieter.

Its a rack mount server. The fan noise is unbelievable.

Its pretty ugly. But the box was cheap and its effective. It doesnt seem to mind its home in the shed with the shovels and rakes though ;)

yeah there are 6 of them running.. but they are small and in the redundant array setup i dont have much space left. i either need to swap out one of the arrays for some new drives or switch over to a external SATA storage solution.
