jsConnect Embed SSO Question

I am using an embedded Vanilla Forum and am having issues getting the SSO to work correctly. I read in the blog post that you need to set window.vanilla_sso and I have done that, however I just get the default "Howdy Stranger" page.

Unfortunately there are not many more details that I can provide since the SSO seems to be a bit of a black box. If there are details that I am leaving out, please let me know and I'll try to provide them.

I figured out my problem. The client_id was missing from the json prior to encoding into base64.
