New Discussion Button only in Categories

Hello from Germany ,
hope this is the correct section for this question and that the question isnt already answered.
I want to modify my vanilla that the "Create a new Discussion" Button is only viewable in categories (Discussions List) like news, help or something. Hope someone already did something like this . Try it already some hours but when i try to copy the code to another file the button is not visible in the discussions list(its the correct file for categories, i check it before :P)
