APIs to interact with my forum(site)

Hi,

Are APIs already available to interact with the data of site developed in vanilla forum?
My forum is not yet hosted. I am working on localhost.

I tried two applications, Simple API and Vanilla Api(Below is the link) to achieve this. Even after enabling those applications I was not able to access APIs.

Is it mandatory to host it on vanillaforums.com to access APIs?

I am new here so If someone here can put a light on it, I will appreciate.

    you will have to use the application rather then the native api for posting.

    post specific question to @Kasper‌ if you have issues

    vanillaforums.com api is different, than the native api on the OS version, which gives basic read operations in json.
