Does Vanilla 2.1 look for new comments when someone posts something?

I'm considering Vanilla 2.1 for a new project and I'd like to know if there's something to "autorefresh" the posts. I do not want something that looks for new posts all of the time... I just need something that looks for new comments when someone posts something (IP.Board does something like that).

I know that it was something like that in the previous versions, but I'd like to use the 2.1.

And nope! I can't test it right now since my team is still looking for the best server to attend our demand.

auto-refesh is a terrible feature, unless there is support for webhooks or long polling.

Most forums won't and the specs for this.

If you want to slow down you site by all means use ajax auto-refresh, or anything that is continually polling the server.

    grep is your friend.
