[Solved] Error - Something has gone wrong... (Permissions on Smarty Directory)*

I'm currently experiencing the error:
"Something has gone wrong.

We've run into a problem and are unable to handle this request right now.
Please check back in a little while."

I've gone for a clean install of Vanilla 1.1 (after already trying 2.1.1 and 2.0.18.13) and wondering why this has happened.

I went through the database setup and the tables have been created although whenever I attempt to visit any page, all I see is the above error.

I've enabled DEBUG, you can see the live site at: http://ca04.dancraft.net/.

I'm running Ubuntu 14.04, latest PHP, MySQL and Apache, so am not too sure what would cause this - there are no errors in error.log either.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.~~

Resolved, I'd forgotten to chmod the Smarty folder, apologies
