Read, New Comments not always working?

I've just updated to 2.1.8p2, and am having inconsistent results for Read discussions with New Comments - New Comments are not always making the discussion not .Read, and the New Comments block in not showing - just the number of comments.

I am using QnA which may be having some influence on this issue.

Hmmm.. sounds like a conflict with the QnA plugin. Does the issue go away completely if you disable the QnA plugin?
