I don't know of any, but I'm curious as to why you would want an alternative.

ok, when is said alternative, i meant the same but different programs, not different altogether

the reason that i'm wanting different ones is because i'm going to have alternating features in my application that i'm working on

any others would be awesome

Yeah I saw that the other day, it's quick slick actually!

In case you're interested, if you ever wanted to display only one image for a whole slideshow (on your page), instead of all the photos, there is a way. In the <img> tag put style="display:none" The highslide author helped me with that.

Thanks for the pointer jimw, HighSlide is the best of its type I've seen so far, very flexible and slick.
