Vanilla Extensions Repository site

So, based on the conversation in the adding a button to the nav thread there was some chatter that maybe some sort of repository site might be a nice idea (i know for wordpress plugins there's a couple). anyone have any ideas on what/how would be the best way to set something like that up?

now that i think about it, i'm liking a subdomain better than a new URL.. (although i do like my vanillax.com). :)
