Vanilla Generated Email between Users Blocked as SPAM

My Lussumo Community is using the extension "NewsMailer" to send mass Emails between users. This recently broke down. Our server manager sent me (the Lussumo Vanilla Administrator) the following message..... "The problem is that somehow the IP address was listed in a spam list as running some kind of spamware. One possibility is that the header line "X-Mailer: Lussumo Mailer" caused this because it might look to the detection program as if there were a spam software at work sending these out.".... Has anyone else experienced this type of problem? If so, any hints on a fix? Thanks
