    I think this Facebook style chat will be awesome. Getting someone's (online user) attention by chatting with them right away.

    this is kinda possible. how about pfcfreechat? add an item to the sidepanel showing who is online. you can create your own rooms in PFC.

    Have you guys looked at lingr.com? I just ran into it today, seems like a pretty cool ajax based chat that I *think* can be integrated into websites using a javascript addon.
