MySQL Server (???)

OK, dumb question for you guys but, what is meant by MySQL Server on the installation page. I know what the database name, user and password are and I'm assuming the Lussumo database prefix remains as is, but I don't understand what is being requested by MySQL Server.

    This is the error message I receive:
    We came across some problems while setting up Vanilla...

    We couldn't connect to the server you provided (localhost). The database responded with the following message: mysql_connect() [function.mysql-connect]: Access denied for user 'a10trr'@'localhost' (using password: YES)
    I assumed 'localhost' is the MySQL Server so what's wrong with the installation?
