edited November 2008 in Vanilla 1.0 Help
so i have vanilla setup on a xampp lite setup and its seems to work fine accessing the vanilla site at http://thewebsite.mydomian.com/vanilla but I pull the xampp web admin when going to thewebsite.mydomain.com. Now both of these senerios work internally but if I try to access the http://thewebsite.mydomain.com/vanilla from outside the firewall i get a Bad request! Your browser (or proxy) sent a request that this server could not understand. If you think this is a server error, please contact the webmaster. Error 400 localhost 11/04/08 07:33:18 Apache/2.2.9 (Win32) DAV/2 mod_ssl/2.2.9 OpenSSL/0.9.8i mod_autoindex_color PHP/5.2.6 The address resolves correctly when pinging it from the outside and the hole is in the FW for access. So I guess my question is this an apache error? Do some of the httpd.conf settings needs to be tweaked?

Comments

  • This looks like if the "host header" were missing from the request.
  • sorry it helps if I punched the hole correctly. I had the inside/outside port mapping wrong in our ASA.
