I wish i had enough time on my hands to try and work on adding a "import contacts" add on to Vanilla (this allows user to enter yahoomail/gmail/hotmail etc login info and invite ppl from their address books). this i believe could be a very useful feature. I have found a few references to folks outside of Vanilla who have tried this :

has this been tried/integrated in Vanilla ? how easy/difficult it would be add this feature, is this doable ? i'm not an expert in php but afaik it should not be very difficult.
