SOLVED: Select a category, list all discussions in that category and any sub-categories

Is there a way to do the following:

Just as /discussions lists all discussions from any category, have /categories/category-x list all discussions from that category, *and* any subcategories?

Currently I have something like this:

/categories/category-x
/categories/category-x/subcategory-y
/categories/category-x/subcategory-z

There are lots of discussions in subcategory-y and subcategory-z and none in category-x. It would be great to be able to see all the discussions listed there rather than see "No discussions were found".

I'd love to have this feature. I feel like most users use this feature as a way to categorize things and don't expect discussions in the parent category.
