Split/delete functionality within a thread

Love the new updates, thank you!

However, when I select posts and click 'Split', it then asks me to create a new thread... which I do, with the intention of then merging into another thread.

The problem is, the split thread that's created simply says it's a split thread from the original, but it doesn't drag the posts across? :(

I think the problem is when I select some posts it says:
You have selected 2 comments in this discussion.
But when I hit split or merge, it says:
You have chosen to split 0 comments into a new discussion.
Seems like the js/ajax or whatever it is, isn't getting the posts :(

Also, users without mod ability also get the checkboxes but no options other than 'de-select' - is there a a way to hide it for them pls?

Thanks!
