Notifications not working (non-Inbox) in V2.0.17.8

I am running Version 2.0.17.8

Unlike the installation here, Notifications for my users are not working except for Conversations ('...sent you a message).

When a user comments on a Discussion the User starts, or @mentions the User, these do not get added to the Notifications list on the User's profile page, and therefore do not appear as a count next to their Profile name in the menu.

Is there something I'm missing?

Yes, all of them. The only Notifications that get added at the moment are Conversations and Rights changes.

Emails also seem to be spotty - but that's another (far less important) issue.

I found the same issue, I believe the issue is the the activitymodel class. I have logged it here:

Your point being? It's not resolved, it's an issue that needs to be fixed. It doesn't matter how old the issue is, I'm sure @jrapage would like to know that other people are having the issue. The fact that it's a year old, is not a great indication to how well Vanilla respond to issues.
