On my forum, avatars are displayed besides posts using this method:

Unfortunately with identicon5 I cannot get this to work, is it possible?

    I made a mistake
    At first I closed your topic because you also posted in that other thread. It's called crossposting.
    Then I saw that your problem was related to a specific addon and the other thread wasn't so, I reopened the topic for you.
    @Aolee @yu_tang @S do you guys have time to take a look at this problem please?
