FlickrFeed 1.0 Problem

edited May 2008 in Vanilla 1.0 Help
Hey just installed this extension now. There is a writable folder named cache within the FlickrFeed folder.

I get the following error when clicking on the Account tab -
Fatal error: Call to undefined function: customization() in /home/xxx/public_html/extensions/FlickrFeed/default.php on line 159

  • I think the Customization function was a relatively new addition (although I could be wrong), so if you're running an older revision than there's probably a good chance that it dosn't support the extension.
  • I'm running the pre-release of Vanilla. And the download from the add-ons for this extension.
  • Try using the latest revision (of Vanilla) and see what happens.
  • I'm trying to use this extension as well. It works at first, but upon coming back to the account page I'm getting this error:

Notice: Undefined index: etag in /home/httpd/vhosts/site.com/subdomains/vanilla/httpdocs/extensions/FlickrFeed/default.php on line 65

Notice: Undefined index: last_modified in /home/httpd/vhosts/site.com/subdomains/vanilla/httpdocs/extensions/FlickrFeed/default.php on line 66

    any ideas?

    thanks :)
  • Now I'm getting this error:

Warning: Cannot use a scalar value as an array in /home/httpd/vhosts/site.com/subdomains/vanilla/httpdocs/extensions/FlickrFeed/default.php on line 57

    thanks for your help :)

    cache is 777
  • Darnit.

How about now? If it still comes up with an error try deleting everything from the cache folder.
  • Nope. Still getting an error. Though, this time the error appears where the photo stream would appear instead of at the head of the page:

    Flickr Photostream (a_j's Photos)

Notice: Undefined offset: 0 in /home/httpd/vhosts/site.com/subdomains/vanilla/httpdocs/extensions/FlickrFeed/default.php on line 148

I made sure that the cache was empty, 777, and reloaded the page; but still had the same error.

    Thanks for your help :)
  • Maybe you should just use the Flickrizer extension :-P

Just out of curiosity, what value were you putting in for the 'user id' field?
  • Yeah, I have Flickerizer up and running. I was interested in the cacheing in your extension, though :)

I put my Flickr user id in there. At first try it all worked fine. But a little while later upon visiting my account, I would get the errors on the head of the page.

    Thanks again for trying
  • Hmmmm...I would really like to use this extension, but for some reason pictures don't show up at all. All I get is the title heading under the profile where they should show up, and then nothing. The cache folder is 777, BTW. Any ideas?
  • i got the same problem... no pictures here..
only a "everyone's picture stream" headline in my profile
  • When I first tried this extension, I had the same problem (everyones stream). The problem was I was using my signin name as my flickr ID. Your ID is actually some random looking string that follows the flickr url. So if you go to your flickr homepage, you'll see a URL like this:

    http://www.flickr.com/photos/54929909@N00/

that last oart there ( 54929909@N00 ) is your flickr ID. Put that in your flickr ID box and it should pull your photos.
  • a_j - I know. I did that, and it just gives me a heading that says "erissiva's Pictures", which means that it has the right stream...It's just not showing it.
  • i am having the same problem erissiva... anyone who can assist, thanks in advance
  • I came back to try and get this to work after the sploit came to light with the other extension.

It gives the correct headng with my username, but no photos :( sup wth that?
  • What does the page source look like?
  • It just shows the heading in the code. And an empty div.

    Flickr Photostream (erissiva's Photos)
  • Try it now. I managed to leave in some really stupid bits of code...

I still cant get it to work... my photos are at flickr.com/photos/onetwentyeight but nothing shows up on my profile. i put in onetwentyeight as my userid. i am using vanilla 1.0 and just dl the latest version of flickrfeed.
  • oddly, the code i see in my profile page is this:

    Flickr Photostream (Everyone's Photos)

onetwentyeight isn't your ID; its a number like 12345678@N00

onetwentyeight is your username/name whatever, but your actual flickr id is some numbers with @N00 at the end. If you go to your flickr photo homepage you'll see the id in the url.
  • edited August 2006
when i go to flickr.com, and click "Your Photos", it takes me here: http://flickr.com/photos/onetwentyeight/

no @N00 thing... I've been a member since before yahoo bought flickr, if that makes a difference, and have a pro account.

go down to the bottom and take a look at the feed url. It will have your flickr id in it. In your case, it's 92299249@N00
  • SirNot - Works fantastically. Thanks so much for the great extension. ^_^
  • first of all, there is a tool from yahoo here :
    http://idgettr.com/

whixh will help you in getting the flickr IDs for any page.

I installed the plugin and it works aand it shows the pictures perfectly in my account page BUT it doesn't show the pictures from the photo stream that i entered the id for.. it just says "everyones" photos and displays some random pictures (I saw in a post before that sb had the same problem. Anything Im doing wrong?
  • That's odd. You're sure you inputted the right user id, '@N00' included?
