I have recently tried this and found two quirks.

1) the URL generated had "vanilla2/discussion" by default and didn't go to correct location.
I managed to resolve this by editing line 52.

2) More seriously, it lists topics to which users may not have access by virtue of them not having administrator rights.

This is a very useful addon and look forward to seeing a more complete version.

I am quite new to vanilla forums, and have been overall quite impressed by vanilla as a modern forum system. I do however have a problem, is it possible to have an option to let users delete their own posts (in addition to being able to let them edit their own posts). When users (not admins) delete posts it would be nice that it was replaced with a placeholder pointing out a user has deleted their post.

Note: I am running 2.0.18.4, not the 2.1 development branch so some of these may be fixed already.

I'm trying to implement a per usergroup post color for my forums, but running into a wall in the implantation. I have the CSS that appropriately changes the posts' font color, but trying to get it to apply only to a certain role doesn't appear to be working. I Google'd it in an attempt to see if there was a solution, but the only two threads I came across didn't have solutions that worked for me.

Here and here for reference.

or similar doesn't seem to do anything. How do I also handle the fact that I've changed the name of the group? I tried referencing it by the role ID number, but I can't get anything to work.

It only works when I comment to a discussion, and doesn't work when I start a new discussion.
If I attach an image when writting a new discussion, I can see the image at the bottom, but I can't find it after I post the discussion.

I've just entered the theme-making scene and have released my first theme: OZONE! I designed this theme in an effort to find a good balance between color, whitespace, and readability to make using Vanilla as visually pleasing an experience as possible without detracting from usability.

Originally I had just made it for my own forum, but I was encouraged by many people to release it publicly. Seeing how lacking the themeforest.net vanilla section was, I put in some additional effort to make the theme "premium-ready" and released it for purchase just a few days ago. I really hope you guys enjoy it, there's currently seven (soon to be nine) alternate color styles available (all in the same purchase), so I feel like it's a pretty good deal, I'm sure you'll find a color that fits your community!

Buy OZONE at ThemeForest.Net

Check out the live preview & support forums

For those who are weary of links, here's a preview/promotional image:

Enjoy!

P.S. I assume this is allowed? I saw someone advertising their community the other day so I figured it would be fine, but let me know if there's a problem.
