Vanilla 2 Requirements

• Server Requirements
  • PHP version 5.2.0 or newer
    • file_uploads = on
    • PHP Data Objects module
    • PDO_MySQL module must be enabled
    • GD version 2.0 or newer (optional, but required for profile pictures)
    • cURL or Sockets (to allow plugin sandboxing)
  • MySQL version 5 or newer
  • Apache version 2 or newer
    • AllowOverride = All (optional, but it allows friendly urls)
    • mod_rewrite (optional, but it allows friendly urls)
• Browser Requirements
  
  The core javascript library we use is jQuery, so we conform to their browser requirements. It should be noted, however, that all pages in Vanilla remain fully functional with javascript turned off completely.
