  I am currently using your van2shout plugin but made quite a few changes in it. Not sure if you are interested or not but I can send you a copy of what I have when I am finished. Here are some of the changes I made: -Added some css to improve the looks a bit -changed the way it works to use the user id in the backend rather than username -changed the ajax calls so that it only sends updated messages rather than resending the whole chat so that users can save bandwidth and have faster response times -created a busy object that will keep users from getting double posts or double returns -set the box up so that it is a fixed 300px height and scrolls I am currently testing these changes I a made and am testing the security on it. If you are interested, shoot me an email at admin@chaozrebellion.com and I can give you access to see the plugin. Your plugin is awesome by the way. Thanks for making it :) David

  Im currently developing a plugin for vanilla2 that will bring ldap to vanilla! Im developing it using openLDAP on ubuntu 10.04, so i dont know if its AD compatible...     I would like to rename it, but i think if i rename it, a new plugin will be create at vanilla's addon page ;-)

    Currently its not that nice, posting something takes about 6 seconds, in the new version posting takes less then 1 second...
    
    But im currently can't release the new version since i renamed from Van2Chat to Van2Shout (its a shoutbox, not a chat ;-).
    But i can't upload the new versionbecause of the changed name...
    
    im waiting for mark to answer my question if a can delete Van2Chat, or if he can't remove the few lines of code that blocks namechanges...
