HOLD ON!! I have just seen the banner upload which does this. Only the images does not sit correctly; like the 2010 theme. It sits too high across the title and repeats the image at the bottom. http://theherrings.net/forum/August 2011

Hi, Maybe I am just being dumb but I can not see how to include an image in the header through the theme options in Vanillapress. A path to my WP 2010 site header image just produces the text link. I can not make sense out of this instruction either - "To add change the top banner link to an external image using image." Sorry. Please can you let me know how to add the image please?August 2011

codegruntThe theme guide helps but spends a bit too much time on what Smarty is and not enough on Vanilla's overall theme implementation. The default theme does not appear to use custom Smarty templates at all so a potential theme designer cannot use it as a starting point. There also needs to be a better explanation of when Smarty templates get used (versus the .php based views) and also explanation of how the main template sections related to files. For example, "Panel" is totally nebulous as to where that layout actually comes from (it does not appear to have its own template, presumably it is buried in a class method somewhere).
Regardless, thanks for taking the time to work on the docs, much appreciated.
