Simply awesome stuff! :) The only thing that doens't seem perfect is the > that toggle the excerpt (open and closed) when the size is forced to the smallest possible (iPhone size). Anyway excellent work.

422, In the packet I see a complete set of gifs. The Xenforo way I talked about it seems using a single big image and only a part of it is called using coordinates according the needs. What's your approch?
