• I'm with Mini. The Vanilla Core is perfectly stable, bug-free and extremely extensible. If Vanilla lacks a feature, you can make an extension and add it. There's nothing wrong with it at all. No need to 'go' anywhere.

• No, but they show in searches for users, and they have profiles; they're just listed as Applicants. Applicants can't even sign-in.
