id say it would be a nice idea...but after some time vanilla would become just another bloated phpbb2 like board but well i think rwx like definitons for categories and users would be quite helpful :)

yeah or you could make a cateogory where no usergroup has access too except you or staff members edit: didnt think about that the threads wouldnt be visible to the ppl without access..so forget my idea ;)

the regex thing is a great idea....i had to do some strange sentences in the german translation to fit the order. and it would be great to split the "to" in 2 different translations...because in german "1 to 4" is not the same as "mark to minisw…

one more thing...is there a way to know whether there are new comments or topics in a certain category view? because if not...then the category view is more or less useless i think

vote for everything control panel should be on by default

id say...try to set only max-width so that images arent wider than a certain amount of pixels the height will then be adjusted automatically. and pics that are smaller than the certain width wont be resized (bloated)

i would say it would be really great if you could extend the core so that it would be easier to do such an extention... i think there may be many fancy extentions coming.. for example editing usual amazon links to amazon links with your amazon…
