Re: Error displaying page Mobile Browser

Re: How to decide what to show in {asset name="Panel"}
In the standard layout there are four "assets" i.e. areas/containers/placeholders/whatever: 1. Head - the header 2. Foot - the footer 3. Panel - sidebar 4. Re: 2 Level-Announcement-System & Announcements in discussion view
without sphinx, i would think it would take a bit of a performance hit with searches to provide related discussions. unless the related discussions only popped up after you chose something like "see related discussions" rather than automatically appearing. I don't think it would be too hard to do with some sponsors footing… -
Re: Vanilla 2.3.1 "basic registration" configuration points to defunct site for reCAPTCHA setup
yeah, I get it. Thanks for replying. I was just kinda surprised by the statement above: Yeah, it's broken. Yeah, it's a one-line fix. Naw, we're not going to fix it. Bummer - doesn't inspire faith and doesn't put Vanilla's best foot forward for literally every new forum that's setup with 2.3. Anyway, you're right: 'nuff… -
Re: Tentative steps towards going with VPS - any advice welcome (and very much needed...)
@hgtonight I know you use the smaller, 512mb RAM droplet. Would that be under-powered for my forum's typical monthly usage, in your opinion? It's a hobby site where I foot all the bills, so less is more! That said, it's used very frequently by a core of users, so I'm happy to pay the higher fee if that is necessary. -
Re: Wysihtml5 with Bootstrap and 2.1 Vanilla - no preview/save draft/post comment buttons
You'll have to fix this manually using CSS. When I wrote VanillaBootstrap I hated WYSIWYG editing and tried making it as annoying as possible to use a WYSIWYG editor by making the default text areas utilize some cool Javscript that would obscure WYSIWYG editors. Now, I realize that I shot myself in the foot by doing this… -

How to make Attachments Open in a New Window
put this code in the< div id="Foot" > section of your theme's default.master.php , if you use tpl (smarty), add { literal } script{ /literal } . You can use this for any links you want to open in a new window. just add them. Remove the spaces I added between < > so it would show here but you remove the spaces or it won't…
