My site is running locally on xampp. I made a static site with Wordpress and recently installed and linked vanilla2 to use as a forum for my visitors.

    Hi markmac,

    Mmh, first you could rename the folder Vanilla 2 resides in.

    "~/vanillaforums-Garden-8832d74/..." could be
    "~/forum/..."

    I usually use MAMP, which is similar to Xampp, but i couldn't find out yet how .htaccess rules interact with it. So once i uploaded the vanilla directory to my server the SEF-Urls (Search Engine Friendly) do work for me.
