vanilla 2.03 My preferences problem

when im in my profile and im clicking on My preferences the url is http://x.com/forum/profile/preferences/1 and i just discovered that if i am to take out1 from url it will work. but i wanna know now from where can i edit this setting. what file.

    What is your username? It sounds like you have a name that is only punctuation and things are getting completely stripped.

    i am using a simple name not with punctuation or anything else. Ebli is the name.

    start from scratch and follow the necessary steps to install correctly

    also make sure your using the right version of mysql and php in your hosting control panel

    Did this, three times and my host replied for me today that they fill the requirements for their part.
    Yet then what the heck is wrong with it then?

    I'm still not sure I even understand what the problem is here. What is happening that shouldn't happen... or what is not happening that should happen?

    I just installed Vanilla and used the bbPress importer. When I try to click on My Preferences I get a "Page Not Found Error". The link has a trailing "/1" just like Ebli said. If I remove the "/1" then the pref page appears correctly. It also seems to be screwing with the email address saved to my account. Each time I click the My Preferences link, my saved emails address goes from me@me.com to me@me.com">me@me.com.

    I'm having the same exact issue but my install is a clean install with no imports.

    I am using 2.0.6. I deleted everything and installed Vanilla again and this still occurs. My installation is in a sub-folder.
