WordPress + Vanilla Not Working

edited November 2011 in Vanilla 2.0 - 2.8
My hours of trying to get Vanilla to work with my WordPress site has proved fruitless.

Here is what I have done:
1. Downloaded the newest version of Vanilla
2. Uploaded it to my site in the /vanilla folder
3. Went to http://www.mydomain.com/vanilla and configured everything.
4. Activated the embed Vanilla plugin inside of the Vanilla Dashboard
5. Went to my WordPress install and download the Vanilla Forums plugin and activated it.
6. I told WordPress my Vanilla install was in the http://www.mydomain.com/vanilla which didn't work and gave me the 'Forum URL could not be validated'
7. Entered this: http://www.mydomain.com/vanilla/ which was accepted
8. Went to the Plugin Options and it tells my forum should be on /discussions-2 so I go and check the pages and it has created two discussions pages which is odd.
9. I go back to the plugin and try to view the page it tells me my forum is on and it says 'Server not found - Firefox can't find the server at &t=1320974109767&remote=http%3a%2f%2fwww.mydomain.com%2fdiscussions-2%2f.

I'm not sure what is going wrong. Anyone ever had this problem or have any ideas for me to try?

Thanks in advance.
